The Pretty Woman Polka Dot Dress (Outfit of the Day)

Jessica Howard Sleeveless Ruched Waist Polka-Dot Dress

I picked out this “Pretty Woman” dress for my subscription with Gwynnie Bee.  That’s the beauty of that service, is trying out different designers without commitment and having an ENDLESS wardrobe.

Back to the dress…
It is well made, the material is comfortable and I did need help from my kiddos to zip me in and out of it, but had no issues otherwise.  The top doesn’t have much stretch but I fit in to the 16W comfortably, even though I normally wear an 18/20 in most dresses.  I read the reviews on Gwynnie Bee (another PLUS on their service) and due to it’s length decided to order 1-2 sizes smaller and settled with the 16W.

I was hoping that my curves will fill it in enough to shorten the length on this cut.  Sadly I was not successful and it was a bit too long.  Never the less I decided to wear it to work and do this pictorial for my review.  Compliments were still given to me and I may have been able to do this dress justice if I were to wear my normal 4″ heels.  This height is not appropriate for work and made due with my pointy white kitten heels.

Throughout the day I kept hearing the song “Pretty Woman” ring in my head.  It made me smile each time and I would have worn the hat “Julia Roberts” wore if I had one that matched!  And YES, I have a hat like hers but the colors didn’t match the dress.  I think many of you know that I ENJOY dressing up each day and who DOESN’T want to feel like “Pretty Woman”.. walking down the street?

I wore my classic 3 strand pearls, an armful of bangles and matching pearl bracelets on the other wrist.  I chose one of my chandelier earrings and twisted my hair up in a bun and decided to let my long curly bangs do what they do – which is go EVERYWHERE.

As always, I am wearing Pink Stiletto Cosmetics and opted for their bronzer as my base blush and then followed the upper portion of my cheeks with Prima Donna Blush.  I dabbed a bit of pink gloss to finish my look.
Of course I did the  full highlighting, foundation ritual in custom shades by Pink Stiletto Cosmetics.

In this pictorial I measured:  47-42-53  Height 5’0
