What a dress! I am not one that wears green but this dress was just too adorable not to wear. It screams vintage/retro and the cut is a favorite as it’s flattering to most body types. The bow detail on the shoulder are a perfect touch to the beautiful apple design.
The material is light and airy in unlined polyester fabric. I’m wearing my usual body slip that helped it flow over my body for a more comfortable fit. I’m petite and it did fit a bit longer and will have it altered so that I can wear a long petticoat for a more formal retro look.
Shoes are from “Torrid” and no longer available but did find a Size 8 on Ebay at: CLICK HERE FOR LINK
My makeup is neutral with a apple green thick all around eye liner and a black winged tip. I’m so glad I found this eyeliner/shadow pencil on sale last week thinking I should try some more green this year. A trick to help even out the under eye wrinkles is to wear a thicker line under the eye (Yes, I’m 40 and will use EVERY TRICK int he book Ha!) The color helps camouflage the fine lines and give a smoother look in person and in pictures. Don’t forget to “set” your makeup with a setting spray or powder to keep it from smudging and helps in keeping the colors vibrant throughout the day.

My Son pulled my “fun” glasses from my car’s glove compartment and told me I just had to wear them. It went perfect with the dress. I am sharing a few shots with them on. The glasses are from a costume shop and found a great store on line that carries these and a couple of other cute designs:.
