Pinup Girl Clothing: You’re My Cherry On Top! (Outfit Of The Day)

Jennifer Skirt By Pinup Couture

I want to live as a pinup girl every day!  It give me LIFE, youth and many smiles by those around me.  Bright colors, pretty prints and a well put outfit on a work day seemed to have shocked quite a few people at work and businesses I visited through my day.  Dare I tell you that I wasn’t wearing any makeup all day?  I had so much to do and traffic has been a nightmare yet my outfit took center stage and no one really noticed.  How’s THAT for a spiffy outfit that takes their breath away?
Pinup Girl is fast becoming another favorite in my fashion book.  The blouse is crisp and stays perked up as I positioned it – you can also fold it down, I just prefer a “Pink Ladies” feel to it, ha!  I’ve never worn a blouse like this and was a little worried it may not be wide enough in the arms to fit my biceps.  I ordered the largest size and crossed my fingers.  Thankfully it fit!  The blouse is a tiny loose around the neckline and waist but belt made short order of it.  I am planning to have it tailored so that it will fit perfectly and accent my curves a bit more.  For this shoot I wore a black camisole and tied in the look while providing coverage on the over sized neck line.
The skirt is beyond lovely.  The folds are perfectly gathered and sewn in to the waist detail that I didn’t have to worry of it not falling perfectly around my hips throughout my busy day.  The skirt is so full that I didn’t need a petticoat to give it form and my hips helped fill the silhouette perfectly.  To accent my waist I decided on a wide black belt.  I was doing my best to mimic the gorgeous model on “Pinup Girl Clothing’s” site.
I rushed home before the sunset and after finding the perfect house to go with the vintage theme I slapped on makeup in 10 minutes.  I went for a lighter shade full face foundation, used my darker foundation to quickly contour my cheeks, around my face and chisel my nose.  Quickly swiped blush and eyeliner, I skipped my eye shadow but did complete the look with a cat eye and mixed a burgundy lip liner with a rose lip gloss to contrast the red from the blouse.  This helped catch the last of the sun light and brighten my face which had me look years younger.  I need to try this look again!
