Lady In Red Day Of Thanks! (Outfit Of The Day)

For our Day of Thanks I surprised my kiddos, Momz and the young scholar I have been mentoring with lunch at “Luminarias Restaurant” in Monterey Park, CA.  During one of our first blog shoots my kiddos asked me:   “Can we eat at that pretty restaurant on the mountain?”
When finances are not where I would like them to be my answer has always been “One day.”

Since our wall oven is broken and not having the ability to replace it I had to figure out a way to meet my kiddo’s expectations for this day.  Being homeless and hungry for so many years I know how important it is to see a FEAST on our table on this day.  It’s important for the kiddos and saved up my money to make it happen.

Thanks to “Luminarias” for having a HUGE gorgeous buffet that met every item on my children’s list and then some.  The children LOVED it and will remember this day for years to come!

I love wearing red during the holidays and this intricate “London Times” shutter sheath dress is a perfect choice.  I felt beautiful in it and red truly is one of my colors. Ha!
*My momz is sporting a GwynnieBee dress too!  It’s review is on “Outfits Of The Day” tab too.

My makeup is a blend of coppers and plums from my “Naked Pallet 2.”  Add a retro victory roll with my blonde highlights and a sophisticated pony tail and my look was a classic style.  When I’m walking around with food plates around tables and tables full of food I didn’t want to balance on my usual heels and decided on my ever comfortable ballerina flats.

Accessories were my favorite Oaxacan chandelier earrings and my colorful bangles.  I like to stick to my usual as you can tell.

Measurements:
48  –  44  –  55                                                   Height:   5’0

I’m wearing Size 18W and it fit me perfectly as I like to wear these body hugging styles loose so that my apron tummy isn’t highlighted by the design.  I was able to slide the dress on me without opening the zipper.  If you want a more fitted look I recommend the 16W for my measurements.
